Quick answer

To send a yoga routine from Instagram story replies, connect your Instagram Business or Creator account to DM Spark, create a story-reply Spark for YOGA, and send a message with a link button. The DM button links to your complete class video or routine page.

When to use this automation

Share a short preview of your ten-minute morning practice in a story, then invite a reply for the full routine. The Spark turns that reply into a direct route to the complete session.

  • TriggerA keyword reply to an Instagram story on your connected account.
  • KeywordYOGA
  • DeliveryThe DM button links to your complete class video or routine page.

How to set it up in DM Spark

  1. Prepare the destination

Prepare a public video or routine page. Include the duration, equipment, intended level, and any options you normally explain with the practice. Check that an unlisted video is accessible to someone who is not logged into your account.

  2. Connect Instagram and create a Spark

Sign in to DM Spark on the web and connect your Instagram Business or Creator account through Instagram’s login. From the dashboard, choose Create Spark, select the correct connected account, and give it a name that identifies the resource and campaign.

  3. Choose the trigger and scope

Under When someone…, choose “replies to a story”. This keyword matches replies across your stories on this account. Use a distinct word if another live story offers a different resource.

  4. Add YOGA as the keyword

Add YOGA in the keywords field. Choose With keywords rather than Every reply so unrelated replies do not receive this offer. Use the same word in your public invitation and avoid overlapping active keyword Sparks.

  5. Write the DM and add the link button

Under Then, in their DMs, choose One message. Use this delivery text: “Here’s the ten-minute morning practice. You’ll find the complete video and what to bring on this page.” Add a link button labeled “Watch the practice” and paste your destination URL. The DM button links to your complete class video or routine page. Check the message and button in the phone preview.

  6. Save, go live, and test

Save the Spark and check that it is Live; if it is a draft or paused, choose Go live and complete any post selection. Reply YOGA to the story from a second account and check the complete video plays inside Instagram’s browser.

  7. Publish the invitation and check results

Add the example invitation below to your story once the test works. Review messages sent, people reached, and link clicks on the Spark. Use the destination platform’s reports to check outcomes beyond link clicks.

Caption and DM copy you can use

Adapt these examples to the resource you actually offer. Replace the example destination with your own tested URL in the link-button field.

What to check before promoting it

A story-keyword Spark matches the keyword across story replies on the connected account, rather than identifying one specific story. If two active stories promote different routines, give them different words and Sparks. Pause an outdated routine offer when it ends.

Reply YOGA to the story from a second account and check the complete video plays inside Instagram’s browser.

Choose a simple delivery or an optional sequence

This walkthrough uses One message to deliver the requested link directly. Ask, then send is also available on Free if you want an opening button before the link. Each outgoing DM counts toward your allowance.

On the Creator plan, a sequence can add email capture or an eligible reminder. For comment triggers, the person must tap or reply before another DM can be sent; clicking a website link alone does not count as that reply. Later messages must stay within Instagram’s allowed messaging window. See the Spark setup guide and email capture guide before adding those steps.

Questions

Does this trigger when someone only views the story?

No. The person needs to reply with the configured keyword. A view alone does not start this Spark.

Can I automatically send tomorrow’s class too?

This setup sends the configured routine when requested. Do not promise recurring daily delivery; use your class platform’s signup process for an ongoing program.

Can I set this up on DM Spark Free?

Yes. This setup uses One message, available on Free with 500 messages per calendar month and one connected account. The Creator plan adds custom sequences and email capture, with 25,000 included messages per billing period.

Why did my test not send a DM?

Check that the Spark is Live, Instagram is connected, the keyword is saved, and you have messages remaining. Send a new story reply with the keyword from a second account; a story view is not a reply. Check the Spark’s status for a connection or delivery issue before repeating the test.
