Quick answer
Add DM Spark to Claude or ChatGPT with the server URL https://api.dmspark.io/mcp and approve it. Then describe the automation you want. Your AI app builds the Spark and gives you a link. Open it in DM Spark, pick the post if it needs one, and turn it on.
Describe a Spark in a sentence
Some Sparks take a few steps to set up: a link, then a question, then a follow-up a few hours later. If you use Claude or ChatGPT, you can describe that Spark in one sentence instead.
Your AI app builds the Spark and gives you a link to it. Open the link in DM Spark, pick the post if the Spark needs one, and turn it on.
It's part of DM Spark Creator and Studio, as DM Spark MCP. You also need a connected Instagram or Facebook account.
Connect DM Spark
Every app uses the same server URL. You connect once per app.
https://api.dmspark.io/mcpAdd DM Spark to your AI app
Add a custom connector with the server URL https://api.dmspark.io/mcp. The steps for Claude, Claude Code and ChatGPT are below.
Approve it on DM Spark
A DM Spark page opens in your browser. Sign in if asked, check the app name, and press Allow.
Describe a Spark
Say what should start the Spark and what to send. The app builds it and gives you a link to open it in DM Spark.
Claude (web or desktop app)
Opens Claude with DM Spark filled in. Choose Add, then Connect.
Add to ClaudeIf the form doesn’t open after sign-in, select Add to Claude again. Or open Customize → Connectors, add a custom web connector named DM Spark, and paste the server URL.

Prompts to try
Say what should start the Spark and what to send, and paste your real links. Swap in your own keywords and URLs.
Ask story repliers for their email
When someone replies to my story, send my recipe link, ask for their email, and if they don't share it within 6 hours, follow up.
Sends your link, asks for an email, and follows up with people who don't share one. Email steps and follow-ups work on Instagram.
Send a guide to people who comment
Here's my reel: [paste link]. When someone comments GUIDE, DM them my free guide at [your URL] and reply under their comment so they know to check their DMs.
Builds a comment Spark for that reel. Paste a link to one of your recent posts.
Get ready for a post you haven't published
I'm posting Thursday at 9am New York time. Set it up so anyone who comments RECIPE gets the recipe link.
Sets up a Spark for your next post, starting at the time you give.
Answer common questions in DMs
When someone DMs me PRICE, show a menu with Prices, Booking, and Shipping, and answer each one.
Builds a DM keyword Spark with a menu. Put your real prices and links in the prompt.
Change a Spark you already have
Change the button on my RECIPE Spark to say Get the recipe.
The app edits the Spark and sends you the link.

Questions
Which plan do I need?
DM Spark Creator or Studio, where it's listed as DM Spark MCP. Insiders have it too.
Which AI apps can I use?
Claude on the web, the Claude desktop app, Claude Code, and ChatGPT. Other apps that can add a remote MCP server with sign-in may connect too.
Can it read my DMs or see who commented?
No. It can't see your DMs, contacts, captured emails, comments or results, and it can't browse your posts. It only looks up a post when you paste its link.
Can it send messages?
No. Your AI app can't send messages on your behalf, and it can't turn a Spark on or off. You do that in DM Spark.
How do I disconnect an app?
In DM Spark, open Settings → Connected apps and choose Disconnect next to the app. It stops working right away.
